Heedless rush by Bush on oil shale (opinion by Senator Ken Salazar)

We’ve seen this heedless rush to oil shale before, just ahead of the inevitable bust. By Senator Ken Salazar. Salt Lake Tribune (reprinted from the Washington Post).

Salazar is a U.S. Senator from Colorado, the state where much of the oil shale lies.

Granted, I haven’t been out to Garfield County etc. in a while, but I think my Senator went a bit over board in his reaction.

This a very complicated subject that I am sure will be around for years without a very good solution.

isnt this the same guy who supports the poisoning methods on public lands to control predators,, ?? and not bother his sheep,, more self serving stuff looks like

Kim? Salazar is a goof ball. I don’t support anything that he does, at least that I can recall. But, in all honesty, I think it is his brother the Congressman that supports the use of poisons for predator control.

i wasnt sure, i just seem to remember the name a few months ago as to one of the demcratic congressmen from CO that supported teh poisons,,,,just wasnt sure,

That would probably be him then. One is a Senator, and the other a Congressman. In any case I am against the use of poison in all but a fery few desperate circumstances.
