Ralph is right. Rick McIntyre is generous to all when it comes to wolves in YNP. He’s a font of knowledge and he loves sharing all those hours of observation with others. Bravo Rick!

  2. Bob Caesar Says:

I don’t understand how he does it – day after day after day! Up b4 dawn back after dark! 24/7 – And, he is so generous with information to everyone who comes to see wolves.
    A huge THANKS to RM!

  3. Rick Hammel Says:

Just look for the yellow Xanterra in Lamar/Little America and you will find Rick. He is a great source of information.

    Rick

Rick is very nice and helpful. When I’ve been there it seems as if most of the serious wildlife watchers were all very helpful and generous with their time.

  5. Jon Way Says:

    Congrats Rick.
Everyone talks about how wolves are so incredibly visible. In my opinion, it is both b.c of the wolves themselves, but also b.c of Rick McIntyre and his dogged efforts to keep tabs on them. His efforts allow thousands, incl. myself, to see these animals.

  6. Ralph Maughan Says:

Rick is really an unsung hero; out there every day; and whenever the wolves are close to the road, usually some problem with crowd control

  7. Terry Nissen Says:

I look for that yellow Xanterra every time I go to the park. Just follow Rick and you’ll find the wolves. Got some great shots of the Druids in January and hope to get more with the new pups in just a week. My friends and I will be staying in Silver Gate and lookin’ out for Rick. Last year, he even came up to us in one of the pull outs and said..”They’re down the road..find the people with the scopes set up and you’ll see the wolve”…and we did and heard the howling all across the Lamar Valley. It was too awesome. Can’t wait to get out there next week.
